Caroline Bergeron: With words... you can say anything!

Since I first put my words to paper—and let pieces of myself become embedded in The Sum of My Encounters and It's Never Too Late—I've realized that being able to connect with readers is a huge privilege.

I know that there are encounters that happen with just a glance.

And then there are those that slip gently... between the lines of a book.

Personally, when I read, it's because I want to learn, know something or be entertained.

It is never a performance and even less a distraction.

It is an outstretched hand, a mirror of what I wish to deepen within myself.

Every time a reader writes to me to say:

"Your book came at the right time," I know it's no coincidence.

It's the magic of the right moment, the one where the words find the one who was ready to hear them .

With words, we offer a space to recognize ourselves

I never tried to give lessons.

I simply told my story, my life path.

And, without even knowing it, I also offered others a space to recognize themselves.

Because sometimes, all it takes is a word, a passage, a true story for something to open up within us.

Reading is growing up without making noise.

But not without leaving a trace.

Read to slow down and feel

In a world that pushes us to go ever faster, reading is slowing down.

It's about offering yourself a presence.

A moment to breathe, to settle down, to find yourself.

And often, it is in this simplicity that we touch on the essential.

We recognize each other.

We remember.

We feel.

The chapter "Freeing Yourself" in my book It's Never Too Late aroused strong emotions in me when I wrote it.

I talk about my doubts, my chains, my need to move forward, with more lightness.

And isn't the strength of a book to provide answers or, better still, to raise questions?

A presence, not a performance

So, for me, meeting readers is not like a tour or a launch.

It is a movement of the heart, a space of presence with the other.

Not to talk about me, but so that everyone can go a little deeper within themselves to connect with their intimacy, with their inner strength.

Because sometimes, all it takes is one chapter, one text or one sentence and everything starts moving again.

Everything becomes possible.
