You dream big... but in action, you see the mountain and you get discouraged?

I can't count the number of times I've been told:
“I have a dream, Caroline… but I’m overwhelmed.”
before even starting."
And I understand so much what that means. Because I, too, have often been that person.
You have a clear vision of what you want. You feel the calling, strong, almost visceral. You get butterflies in your stomach just imagining what your life could become if you really gave yourself the chance to go for it.
But as soon as you look at what it would take to get there... you freeze.
You see all the work to be done. The steps. The potential obstacles. The vagueness. The magnitude of the task.
And instead of moving forward, you stay there, paralyzed by this imaginary mountain that you have just built in your head.
You're not lazy . You're overwhelmed.
There is a huge difference between lacking willpower and lacking clarity.
Often, it's not motivation that's lacking, but mental energy. We want to do everything at once, we aim for perfection, and we forget that everything great… first started small .
You know what I've learned over the years? That action, no matter how small, is always more powerful than the best of intentions. And the only way to not give up on your dream is to make a little space for it every day. Just enough to not forget it. Just enough to keep it alive within you.
The strategy of small steps
Do you want to write a book ?
Start by writing a paragraph. Then another one tomorrow.
Do you want to change careers?
Starts with a call. A meeting. A reading.
Want to take care of your mental health? Start with 10 minutes of silence. A walk. A screen-free coffee. A "no" that you finally allow yourself to say.
Do you want to make an impact in the world? Start by showing yourself as you are. With your strengths, your doubts, your light, and your rhythm.
Never lose sight of your “why”
What you want to create, achieve, experience… it's not a whim. It's probably something that makes sense to you. Something that makes you want to get up in the morning with a fire in your belly.
But this fire must be kept burning. And when the road gets long, it's your why that brings you back to what's essential.
Why do you want this? What would it change in your life? Who would you be if you followed through with this idea?
And above all… how will you feel the day you realize that you didn’t abandon yourself along the way?
Obstacles will be part of the journey. That's normal.
No one builds a project of the heart without encountering trials.
You'll doubt yourself. You'll get exhausted sometimes. You might go down the wrong path.
You will experience frustrations, unmet expectations, disappointments.
But what I've come to understand over time is that these passages are part of the contract . They're not signs that you're not on your X. They're the trials that come to teach you how much you want this dream.
And if you keep going, one small step at a time, you always end up creating something real.
What I propose to you today? Is to start again.
No pressure. No comparing yourself.
Just you, your dream, and one first action. Clear. Simple. Doable now.
And tomorrow, another one.
It's not speed that matters. It's your presence. Your consistency. And your ability to keep moving forward, even when no one is watching.
💬 And you? What is this dream that refuses to leave you alone?
You can write to me. Talk to me about it. Or just say it out loud. Because the first person who needs to believe in you… is you.
And I confirm: It's never too late.
